Weekly Music Notes 10/17/2017

Good morning CPMB Family,

I hope this message finds everyone well after a very busy Saturday at the Tarpon Springs Outdoor Music Festival. For those of you that made the drive out to Tarpon, the band, staff and I thank you for your support! It always makes a difference in our student’s performance when they hear the crowd respond to what they doing on the field. You, our dedicated fan base, help lead that charge and we are forever grateful.

On behalf of the entire band and band staff, I would like to give a very big thank you to the army of parents that assisted moving our percussion equipment and props from the warm-up site, to the staging area, to the field, and then back to our trailer. There is no way that our students would have been able to move all of that equipment without all of you. Your presence and assistance allowed our students to focus on getting ready for their performance rather than the logistics of their performance. Bravo to all of you!

On a personal note, I want to thank the “Prop/ Equipment Crew” for arriving to Tarpon several hours before the band to assemble all of our props and unload our trailer. I know days like Saturday are long, stressful, and just plain taxing both mentally and physically, but all of you were Rock Stars! Thank you for taking such pride in our student’s performance. They could not have had the performance they did without you.

I would like to remind everyone that we are currently in the middle of our annual Poinsettia fundraiser! This is a fundraiser in which all individual proceeds can be applied directly to your student’s dues and or trip payment. Please remember that you must be caught up and current on any DHS dues BEFORE money can be applied to your New York trip. If you have questions about this please don’t hesitate to contact me at the following email address: Bruce.Herrmann@sdhc.k12.fl.us.  Please note: my last name contains 2-R’s and 2-N’s…if you have sent me an email in the past and I have not responded, please check to make sure my last name is spelled correctly!
