Band Parent Updates! 8/8/2017

Hi Cougar Pride Marching Band Families!

Congratulations to our Cougar Pride Marching Band (CPMB) on a great Friends & Family Performance.  For many of our new students, this is their first-time learning basics and drill, all while memorizing new music.  Great job!  The past two weeks have been full of a lot of hard work, mixed with fun, and the development of new friendships.  The foundation of the show has been laid and they’re off to a great start.

A heart felt thank you goes out to the many volunteers who helped make these two weeks of band camp happen for our students.   Our volunteers helped fit students for uniforms, organized lunches, helped with sign-in and paperwork, served snacks, picked up and served lunches and much much more.  It sounds cliché, but it’s very true . . . it couldn’t have happened without you.

No Band Practice – Thursday, August 10th

Mr. Herrmann has cancelled after school marching band practice for this Thursday, August 10th, so students can watch the DCI (Drum Corp International) Championship Prelims.  AMC Regency in Brandon will stream the event beginning at 6:30 PM.  Students are encouraged to watch the prelims if possible.  Good luck to CPMB member, Nate Roscoe, and former member, Zach Elnahwy, as they compete with the Troopers.
