Congratulations Cougar Pride Marching Band on a fantastic first week of Marching Band Camp. The days were long, hot, and exhausting, but also full of fun, friendship, and wonderful music.
As we look forward to Week 2, I have a few items to share with you.
Returning Family Orientation – Monday, July 31st at 6:00 PM in the band room
All returning students and their parents/caregivers are strongly encouraged to attend. The DMB Board will discuss the new Fair Share structure, upcoming events/activities, and answer any questions you might have.
Uniforms – Need help sewing/hemming uniforms
We are looking for help with sewing/hemming marching band uniforms. Not an expert at sewing . . .that’s ok . . . you don’t have to be. Please contact our Uniform Committee Chairperson, Martha Holcomb, at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help.
Band Camp Fees – $150.00
If you haven’t already paid your band camp fees, payments are now due. Board members can accept your payment during band camp check-in until 9:30 AM and pick-up between 4:30 – 5:30 PM. You can also drop it in our safe. The safe is located in the band room, to the left of the door, next to the bookshelf. Please make sure it’s in an envelope labeled with your student’s name and what the money is for.
Spirit Shirts – Order Deadline August 25th (by end of school day)
Students should have come home with a new spirit shirt order form. This second order is due August 25th. This is a hard deadline, with no extensions. The order that was due this past Tuesday was so friends and families could have their shirts for the first game. This second round is for students to help earn money for their accounts by selling t-shirts to their friends and teachers at school, as well as, friends and family that missed the first deadline. Spirit shirt order form can be found on Charms.
Forms (Contact Information, Medical Release, and Medical Information)
We still have several students who need to turn in one or more forms. All forms must be turned in by next week. Contact email@example.com if you have any questions.
We would like to say thank you to the 15+ family members who volunteered during band camp this week. They helped with measuring students for uniforms, collecting forms, payments, check-in, picking up lunch, serving lunch, and much more. This camp would not be possible without your help and it is very much appreciated. We would also like to thank parents/caregivers for helping make this first week of band camp a successful one. From driving your kids to camp, to filling out checks and forms, to making sure your kids well rested. . . your support is very much appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend and we’ll see you Monday morning.
