Good morning CPMB!
I hope everyone enjoyed his or her football free Friday night! This Friday is middle school band night, which means we will have students from both Mulrennan and Turkey Creek joining us for our game against Spoto. All middle school students are schedule to arrive between 5:15 and 5:30 so all CPMB members will need to be dressed in half-uniform prior to our guest’s arrival. Once again dinner will be provided for all CPMB members as well as the students from Turkey Creek and Mulrennan. Speaking of Friday night dinners, if you are interested in sponsoring a dinner please visit Charms and sign up!
This brings me to my next reminder; we have a couple of concession events this week and are in need of volunteers, namely the JV football game on Thursday evening. All DHS concession events are posted to Charms and I encourage everyone to take a moment to sign up early for these events to ensure each event is well staffed. As we have discussed in the past these concession events are what help keep our fees as low as they are for what our band does.
In addition to Friday’s “Band Night” event, it is also the deadline to turn in Spirit Shirt order forms and money. Please make sure all order forms and money are sealed in an envelope and deposited in the safe located next to the water fountain in the band room. We would like to be able to order these shirts as soon as possible so family and friends can start wearing them to all of our events!
Hawaii Reminder- Any parents or family traveling to Hawaii with the band in December, if you have not already done so, please email Trudy Bailey-Ramsey whom you would like to room with ASAP. Please remember that prices change when going from a quad occupancy to a triple to a double. These prices changes are not controlled by the boosters, these are set by the travel company and are non-negotiable.
And lastly, this month will start our annual Pepsi wars for the West Coast Invitational! As you read in Mrs. Fahie’s message we are already up to 15 bands and will need every can of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, and Mountain Dew our band family can muster. Like last year the grade level that brings in the most Pepsi products will receive a pizza party after a Tuesday rehearsal. Once again I will sweeten the pot for the person who brings in the most by taking a pie to the face…only this time I will do it at a Friday night football game!
